Alex Willow is sure growing up quickly; we're just entering the two-word sayings ("More ice!", "Mommy, up!", etc.). She probably adds one new word a day, and she's generally starting to get the hang of how things work: she sings along with songs ("If you're happy and you know it, shout hooray!" ("Hooray!")), she responds to reasoning ("If you eat one more potato, you can get down."), and she recognizes things she likes (certain hats) and things she doesn't (certain hats). She's still pretty shy, verbally, for the first few minutes after she enters a crowded room, but it doesn't take long before she's tearing around a new environment, babbling away. Her usage of utensils is getting very good, and she can tell us when she needs a new diaper ("poo poo"). Her sleep habits aren't bad...she actually goes to sleep pretty well now, although she's prone to waking up once or twice (especially at around 5am). This week's pictures are all the way at the bottom of the page (week 5)! |

Wow, look at all the snow! | Hey, it's the owl from Harry Potter! (Really!)
Look, the snow is really coming down now! | It was cold, though. Even the doll was cold.
I'm not so sure about this snow thing. | It's pretty and all...but...
...I think I'll just stand here and wave. | Here's me and Mommy on the sled! (Watch!)
And here's me and Daddy! (Watch!) | We made snow angels...but it was too cold.
