January 2004 (Month 32)(images from August 7 to September 5)

Alex's next milestone is the 3-year old mark -- even though it's 7 months away, she's starting to feel like a 3-year-old.  Her drawing is getting better, and she recognizes about 10 different letters (and knows their sounds, and can "read" them).  She can arrange "A, L, E and X" to spell her name, and she learns songs in just one or two listens (including some "mainstream" songs now that Mommy and Daddy listen to...it's funny to hear her say "Uh oh, Uh oh" (that's a song)).  She got to go on the big kids' bouncy jump at Sea World now (just one or two inches short, and they let her go anyway), and the conversation engine keeps rolling along -- now, when we're out, she's comfortable enough to talk to random people (but only if Mommy or Daddy is there...she knows not to talk to strangers by herself!).  And she's even talking better on the phone.  Just fun to watch her grow!
