March, 2002 (Month 10)(images from August 7 to September 5)

I just turned 9 months old!  I'm pretty much developing just as the books and charts said I would:   I can crawl all over the place, I can stand on my own (for about 10 seconds), I can hold onto the coffee table and shimmy around it, I eat pretty much anything Mommy and Daddy will give me (no sugar until I'm a year old, though), and my babbling is starting to sound like words these days.  I know Mama by name, and I can say a bunch of other words:  "More", "BaBa" (for Daddy), "Bwa" (for the animals), Bye Bye, and a few others that my parents are trying to figure out.  I wave to people when they leave (with a "bye bye", if you're lucky), and I'm sleeping in my own crib at nights!  The pictures below represent my 10th month of life.  (SCROLL DOWN FOR NEWEST PICTURES...WE FINISH UP WITH WEEK 5!)

Sequence:  I LOVE to feed Peanut crackers! I throw them on the ground...
and laugh as he eats them up. It's so much fun, I'd rather throw than eat!
Sometimes I like to drink from my bottle... ...and other times, I just pose.
And sometimes I feel really good... ...and sometimes, I don't.
GET WELL SOON,  ALEX WILLOW!
Week 2 begins!
Here's some pictures of me with Roseola! I was a trooper through it all...
Look at this spot on my knee! Despite what it looks like, it didn't itch.
See?  I'm all better now! Happiness is Saturday morning.
And for my next trick... ...I'll make these pens disappear!
Here's Daddy's site.  Isn't it nice? I'm auditioning to be a Community person.
Sharon's wedding shower...what's she looking at? Oh, of course...it's me!
Uh oh...it's Jessica! :-) And more pen eating with Jen.
On Sunday, we went to feed the ducks. Daddy and I looked at them first.
Then we got around to feeding them! They tried to take the bread...
...right out of my hand...and one time they did... ...resulting in my first cut!  (Note the tear.)
Week 3 starts  here!
Alex and Daddy, sitting in a tree... Mommy and Alex, sitting in a tree...
Yay!  Kissing is fun! The classic Alex "look back" pose.
Hey, Mommy...can I have that earring? Alex and Natalie look out the window.
Have you seen these dolls for sale? Daddy's hat is fun to wear!
This is how I get him to pay attention to me... ...even when basketball is on!
OK...I've had about enough of this... How do I take this off?
Ah, two hands...that'll do it. Ah ha!  Success!  No more hat pictures!
Mommy puts me on her feet like this... ...and it's sooooo funny!
I love playing with Peanut. He's fun to pet!
Almost as much fun as being upside down. Peek a boo!
Look, I'm getting this whole "standing" thing down. Although it's always nice to hang on.
I love my beachball! I chase it all around the house.
Except when Mommy catches me, and I clap. But I like to clap a lot...especially outside.
Here's me in the yard, with lemons. Daddy was out there, too.
The lemons were fun! So fun, I just have to clap!
And here's Week 4!:
We got this cool bubble blower... ...and I was mystified!
Check it out!  The bubbles keep coming... ...and coming!
Now we're at the doctor's for my 9-month checkup. I weighed 18 pounds, 6 ounces!
That's my doctor, Dr. Snyder.  he's nice! And Grandma consoled me (but no crying!)
Here's some pictures from my room at home. I can play with my toys...
...or look out the window. Hey, what's that?
It's a snake!  Here, give me something else... (When I want something, this is how I ask.)
OK, I'll blow a raspberry at the snake, then. Snakes are fun to play with!
And so are CollegeClub balls!  Now let's go outside... Mommy let me play with vanilla pudding.
It was fun...do I eat?  Do I play? I'll play. (I got hosed down afterwards.)
Let's finish it with Week 5!
Let's start with the playgroup at Dani's house! There are lots of toys to play with...
Here I am with David and Phobe. Hey, let me back into that car.
Please?  Let me in, or I'll take this ball. What's that I hear?  Time for a group shot?
Here's all the mommies and babies! Now it's naptime...first:  wave to the monkey!
Then we're VERY sad. We remain sad...
...and we continue to cry. And despite what it looks like... ...we eventually fall asleep (soon).
When we wake up, we're playful! Into the laundry basket we go!
OK...gotta get out before another nap. It's time for poker!
Daddy let me play with him. Daddy, you have lots of red cards!  Yay!
On Easter Sunday  I met the Easter Bunny! And a large koala!
I was excited when I got an egg! It's just plastic, but it's fun!
Daddy held me while I played... ...first with one egg...
And then with two! Here, let me have that.
OK, you can have it back. Whew!  Time for the Laker game!
