September, 2003 (Month 28)(images from August 7 to September 5)

Such fun!  We're holding full conversations with Alex these days, and she's quite a character.  She absolutely loves to play with toys -- stuffed animals, dolls, toy animals, blocks, everything -- and she's got some neat habits:  she organizes everything meticulously...everything has an order.  She puts families of animals together (the Daddy, Mommy and baby zebra), she acts out stories with her dolls (and tells them stories), and each of her bigger dolls has a place -- a certain seat they have to sit in, a certain blanket they have to be covered with.  It's really fascinating to watch.  She's also started pre-school, and she absolutely loves it --- she enjoys the interaction with other kids, and she's definitely likes to be the leader.  But her sharing has gotten much, much better, and she seems to be developing true friends with some of the other children (especially Katie).  She's just a lot of fun to be around.

My day at school was fun! Back at the house, I like to drive my car. (Watch!)

And I also like to draw with chalk on the cement. (Watch!) It's fun, Mommy!

OK, now we're headed to the horse track...I'm nervous. Look, I'm going on a pony!

This man walked with the horse. I was a little worried, but it was fun! (Watch!)
I tried to give Daddy a smile, but it was hard. See?  Just a little worried.
But when I got off the horse... I told Daddy I loved it!  (And I did.)

Then I sat with Daddy and took a picture... ...OK, Dad -- time to go play with the other kids!

Word! When we sat down, I got to hold Charlotte!

Hmm...maybe I can lay on you? How about a big hug!

And maybe a little kiss? Yay!  It's all the girls!

Let's get another kiss in. (Daddy loves this picture.) Ugh...maybe I can move you over here...

Now we're home, on the bed...time for more kisses! Daddy gets in on the action...

Are you getting this on camera, Mommy? Whew, that's a lot of kissing.

Look at me dance in the hula hoop! (Watch!) Daddy wanted you to see my pouty face.

OK, we're back at school!  Look at all my toys! I like to play on the table with play-doh...

...or with my towers.  Here, want one? Of course, I love the doll house, too.

Now I'll clean the sidewalk... ...and look through a telescope. (The ground is close!)

Mommy, do you want to take a look? Look, everyone...I have a kitty!

Who wants to pet it? I can get a drink by myself. (Watch!)

Although sometimes I get a little messy. This is my official school picture!

Of course, more play-doh today. These are the little toilets!

Umm...lady, why are you on the toilet? Daddy's at school!  Yay!  Let me finish my cake.

Daddy, do you want some dirt cake? Here, let me just pat it down a bit.

Daddy, look!  It's our potties! And there's my name...

See, Daddy?  I CAN get a drink! And I can ride my bike.

OK, we're at the doctor's... ...Charlie is getting the shots, not me...right? (Right.)

A boat trip! Wow, look at the water down there.

We all took the ferry to Coronado! See, here are the girls...

...and this is just me and Mommy! It was bright, so I wore my favorite hat.

Almost done...now we're at the pool! I jumped off the side to Daddy! (Watch!)

And then we did some chicken fighting with David. I'm not sure who won...

...but it sure was fun! Let's finish with a shot from the jacuzzi! (Whew!)
