June, 2003 (Month 25)(images from August 7 to September 5)



Alex Willow is now a two-year old...and it's just a true pleasure to have full conversations with her now.  We can explain the rules of games to her (like basketball or "Red Light/Green Light"), and she understands.  She can sit through (most of) a movie (especially Monsters Inc. or Dumbo), and it's great to hear her say/do things like "Mommy, your shirt is messy!  Take it off, I'll get you a new one.  You want a blue shirt?" (Runs upstairs, returns with Mommy's blue shirt.)  We haven't noticed the "terrible twos" yet -- nothing really different than the past few months:  a few tantrums here and there, but only when tired or hungry.  She's getting much better at using the potty to go pee at night, and she'll wear underwear for a few hours at a time (but she still makes mistakes).  She's nearly running up and down stairs now, and she's very close to being able to ride her tricycle.

  I'll walk up the stairs to help! (Watch!) A pause for story time (3 little pigs!).
 
  OK, I'll put on my hard hat... ...because it's time to go.  See ya!

Weeks 3-4:
  Let's start off on the playground with Daddy! Hi, Mommy!
 
  We watched Daddy's football game with David... And then Skyler took us to the park!
 
  Time to get in the car...down the stairs! We're at David's birthday party!
 
  I played with my doll... (Watch!) ...and gave David a hug and a kiss!
 
  Nina and I went to the store... ...look at me, Mommy!
 
  I found this pig and never let him go! OK, time to go home.  It's windy!
 
  Back at home, playing with my farm. You're funny, Daddy!
 
  Here, I'll give you a big smile! Now I'll count to 20 (kind of). (Watch!)
