When Alex turned two, her parents put together a list of all of the
things that she loves, likes, and doesn't like, plus the things she can
do. Might be interesting for her to look back on this when she's
older!

- Gum
- Going for walks
- Dolls
- Playing with babies
- Cats and dogs
- Running around naked
- Maisy
- reading stories (especially The 3 Little Pigs,
Goldilocks, and Little Red Riding Hood)
- Play-doh
- Painting
- The colors purple and pink
- Pillows
- Her bottle of warm milk (not cold, not hot...warm)
- Edamame
- Peaches
- Spoonfuls of peanut butter
- Petting animals
- Sleeping next to mommy
- Benihana's
- Teletubbie shoes
- The swing

- Apple juice, yogurt, rice, meat (plain), and chicken
- Riding on Daddy's bike

- Going to bed at night (but naps are OK)

- Cold drinks (or hot drinks...gotta be warm!)

Things Alex Can Do
- Count to 10 (although she sometimes misses "3")
- Sing and say her ABCs
- Run and jump
- Sort items by colors
- Sort items by attributes (circles, sqaures, etc.)
- Find similar items (here's one pig; where's the other?)
- Remember information (names of people, info from days/weeks
earlier)
- Pretend play (tea time, tiger chasing the giraffe, taking care
of her dolls, pretending to cook and serve food)
- Open doors with lever-type handles
- Pee-pee in the pottie (once or twice a day)
- Stand on one foot
- Take off her shoes and pants
- Know her colors
- Get her shoes/put them away in the closet
- Help "read" familiar stories
- Identify many animals
- Make animal sounds
- "Clean up" toys
- Build towers
- Put big legos together
- Identify body parts
- Speak in long sentences ("Look at the little baby girl swimming
in the water with the kids!")
- Push a chair up to get something higher
- Climb up and down stairs without holding on
- Climb onto the couch/chairs by herself
- Try to sing Twinkle, Twinkle and Row, Row, Row your Boat
