In August, Alex lost her very first tooth!  It was her bottom right tooth.  She was so proud and excited.  The tooth fairy came and took her beautiful pearly white tooth from her special tooth fairy box and left her ONE dollar and a little fairy toy.  Now her bottom left tooth is loose too!

She's still asking to go swimming everyday and as a result she is now swimming all by HERSELF.  No floaties for her. She can jump in from the side and swim across the pool.  She is beyond happy about this newest feat.  She asks over and over for a "swimming lesson" from mommy or daddy.  She wants us to tell her what to do.  For example, "Lesson number 6: swim across the pool using only your legs." or  "Lesson Number 4: dive down to the bottom and touch the blue line."

Alex is getting very anxious about her baby brother's upcoming arrival.  She asks Mommy every day if he's coming out today.  She often comes up with ideas for his name or things she wants to do with him.  She wants to have a big party for him when he comes out so she can  introduce her baby brother to everyone.  She reads him 3 stories every night and Mommy tells her how much he likes it.  She has been waiting for him to arrive since before he was conceived.  She emptied out her piggie bank and asked Mommy how much it costs to  "buy a baby brother." Mommy told her you can't buy one you have to make one. So she said, "Let's make him right now!"  Mommy told her that was something Mommy and Daddy had to do - so she asked if she could watch!  Umm!! Well you can see that it was time to talk to her a little bit about how babies are made. :)

Alex's favorite food is still pasta but her fondness for milk is starting to wane.  She now likes juice at lunch and snack time. Preferably apple or grape juice.   She's also becoming much more willing to try new foods.  Her newest favorite dessert is brownies. The more she tries a new food and likes it the more willing she gets to try other new foods.
